"You're affirming yourself all day long one way or another. Why not try a positive affirmation?"

An affirmation is a short sentence or phrase repeated often that has the power to change your thought patterns.
Affirmations are powerful when repeated out loud and can also be written or spoken softly to yourself.
The research behind using affirmations *repeatedly* is to engrave these positive words and phrases in our subconscious minds which can lead to a change in our behaviors, habits, and actions.
Affirmations typically start with I am followed by what you believe in.
Affirmation is derived from the verb “affirm” – to state that something is true.

I'm Lori Massicot, the host of To 50 and Beyond.
I started the podcast in 2018 with a mission to talk about aging and sobriety and share stories of hope and inspiration in midlife and beyond.
My continued mission is to bring women over 40 together over topics that don't usually get discussed aloud to break through the shame and stigma that holds us back from being, doing, and experiencing BETTER.
It's never too late to travel another path and have fun along the way.
I know you're ready to ROCK your very best self To 50 and Beyond!
